Superbike racing

So, I turn on Nascar...er...Speed TV (yeah, that's it!! LOL) and catch the end of the AMA Superbike race last Tuesday. I came in as Jason was leading the race.

At the last lap, as Jason was moving from fourth to third, it almost looked like he got clipped by one of the riders ahead of him and had to "stand-up" the corner.

What happened?

actually... i clipped tommy... at the top of the hill before you start braking, the rear end broke away unexpectedly, and then caught traction right before i let off the throttle... which sent me down in there a little faster than i was expecting. normaly, because i was trying to make a double pass at the time, it would've been a welcome burst of speed. the problem was it caught me off gaurd and i didn't quite get set up for the pass, and couldn't get it slowed down enough to fall back in line with tommy. at the last second i kinda was like "oh shit" and tried to turn out a little to get on the outside of him. unfortunately i clipped him and it locked the front tire for a sec. and off the track i went. as you can tell... i was a little pissed off afterwards... hitting a gas tank that hard will leave a nasty bruise on your hand... even with a glove on.
