I think this ia great step forward. But I'm afraid watching motorcycle racing on CBS, will be like watching hockey on Versus. I also wonder why Laguna was not included in the package.

yep, definitely worth saving on the PVR.
I think it sucks.
They are going to fuck it up. Just look what they did to F1 coverage last year. :( I wanted to stab my ears with a table knife.

My thoughts exactly - you are showing this to the US public but you don't telecast the only race done in the US? What gives?
As for them screwing it up, we will have to see. I can always turn the volume off and make motorcycle noises....

MotoGP in HD?!?!? That would be sweet!how many people do you think actually have a HD TV? much less HD service to pipe into it?
HD* has risen on my peaves list... oh HD is this, it's that, I can't believe we could ever live without it,etc.... How long has it been since everyone was saying the same thing about CD's and DVD's? HD is way over hyped.
Besides, you can already get the races in HD from Motogp.com.

at 1st I thought it was going to be a race prior and after laguna or two prior, two after, etc... I wonder how this plays into Speeds deal....
If it works anything like last year, Speed will re-broadcast the race during the week on their channel with their announcers/the regular European announcers.
As for Laguna, I think Speed has that by contract, and because Speed will have broader coverage (practice, qualifying, etc) for the Laguna race than CBS would be willing to set time aside for.

lets hope that the extended coverage is actually good... I remember there was a lot of chewing the cud last year.
