Holy crap! What a race! This has easily been one of the most compeitive GP races in a while.
Summary:
1) Michelin = shit. Give Rossi (Fiat Yamaha) a set of tires that aren't made of Floam and he finishes podium. I'm sneaking into the Bridgestone trailer and getting a couple myself.
2) Ducati is building some real monsters (sorry) this year. I wasn't surprised when they tore shit up at Qatar, but it's apparent that they will be the bike to beat the whole season long, not just on really open tracks.
3) Scary crash on the first lap. Jacque (Kawasaki Racing) was taken to the hospital and released with a bruised coccyx. Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) left the event in a neck brace. He has no fractures, but neck and chest pain. Edwards (Fiat Yamaha) suffered a swollen knee. Vermulen (Rizla Suzuki) got back on his bike and finished 11th.
4) Stoner (Marlboro Ducati) deserved that win. He set a brisk pace, and ran consistently. Any one of the riders could've set the fastest lap, but running 24 consistent ones is what wins races.
