Hey guys,

I had a great time at the Superbike weekend in Mid-Ohio! I got to meet up with a few board members and hung out with Jay for a little bit. Plus I got to meet quite a few other riders as well. Great time.

Jay, thanks for taking the time out to hang for a little bit. I know that you had a lot on your mind and were busy. On raceday I know you have other things on your mind other than entertaining people, so I appreciate it. I was joking with your dad that you are given a bottle of champaigne to spray where ever you like BUT, you can't drink any of it! Ha ha!

UNgh. we went out last night, got wrecked. the cutest blonde girl was all over jay the whole night. just got back, the ride was no fun. rained a good amount

it was a great weekend. went to Scores saturday night, they had $2 Coronas. Last night almost got stuck when John Haner got pulled over for some serious speeding. cop took haner to the police car, I thought my friend and I were gonna have to walk home, the cop was talking about towing the car! he let him off with only one ticket though, which was like 65 in a 30. Then we went to some bar Goodfellas to finish the night. haha the motovation jay gave us to go was "That bar's gotta be good! it's called goodfellas!" i think that was our 3rd bar of the night

definately a good time, great races, jay-sorry you didn't get into the restart on your second race, but congrats on the first place in superstock!

Cold,

That sounds awesome. If I didn't have to work yesterday, I would've stayed out and partied too. I know Mary would've been down for it.

Hey give me a call. Come on over this week and pick up your turn signals and try on my leathers to see if you like them.

Ray

It was awesome!

It was really cool to meet a lot of the riders. All the guys there are really cool and laid back. They generally enjoy talking with you. It doesn't hurt to mention that you race too. They really open up after that. Especially the privateers. Most of them started off where I'm at now in CCS or in WERA or both.

I forgot that Joe worked for Donlop too. I'm not sure if he posts here or not, but it was cool to see him. Most people thought I was nuts for racing at Loudon (Especially Greg White). Everyone I talked to knew the Dunlop guy who died there on 11 June. It was sad to see how everyone was affected. It's a pretty tight knit community. Sure there are probably some grudges between some riders, but from what I observed most of the racers were friends. There were practical jokes going on and they were all having fun.

Jay, congrats on your podium. I'm sorry about your other crashes, we saw your get off at turn 8, that sucked. Mary and I are going to take your dad up on his offer to come over to the house for hot chocalte and cookies. I can't wait to see all your baby pictures... hey he offered.

:haha2:

Baby pictures are more fun when they're older than the car you drive...

WOW....I was in heaven in Ohio. I wish I could have gotten to be there for Friday and Saturday, but I only had Sunday off. Hey Jonesie...I am interested in racing. Please....any info or advice would be helpful. If you ever have a race...let me know. I would like to come and watch. If I don't get out on a track soon....I may be riding my bicycle to work.

Check out the links at www.ccsracing.com about how to get started. I'll try to help out more when I'm back in town.
