I entered HeavyWeight Supersport (750cc limit) and took 5th overall, brough home a trophy and also acheived a personal best laptime of 1:20.7, a full 2 seconds better than ever before. Next race was MiddleWeight SuperBike, took 7th over all, and another new best laptime of 1:20.5. Hopefully I can find 0.5XX seconds somewhere and meet this years goal of sub 1:20 lap times.

Will post pics and a more detailed report after I get some time to do the write up.

I'll let Bongo post up his results.. but no crashes for either of us this time :)

I entered the same races as Ryan, our first race Heavy Weight Supersport I finished 12th of 32. I should've had an 9th, but lost out to my own stupidity. (Note, ever let up).

My second race was Middleweight Superbike and finished 14th of 39. I set my fastest lap ever of a 1.24.2 which I know I can still beat. I threw a chain just before the finish line and lost one position, but at least I didn't lose a leg.

Good jobs!

Do you know anything about the rider that got killed in turn 3?

Bongo came from Bongo Ray, as in bongo drums, Ray is a drummer. That was his name on another board.

I know who it was and I think he was the guy who mounted up my last set of 16.5's at the Dunlop garage. Hell of a nice guy.

He forgot to install the circlips or pins that hold the front pads in, and all 4 front pads fell out before turn 3, which is the hardest braking zone at Loudon. Didn't make the turn and died at the Hospital later on Friday.

RIP Brian

Bongoray is nickname given to me by a buddy I grew up with. We were are both big Howard Stern fans. We loved his first video "Butt Bongo Fiesta" where he plays the drums on chick's asses. I'm a drummer... so put the two together... Bongoray was born. ;)

Yeah, I got there on Friday just after it happened. It was pretty somber around the track. It was weird to hear guys talk about him in the pits, in the bathroom, etc. I never met him, but we always pitted near where they worked. I'm sure I've seen him.

R.I.P.

PS: Thanks for the kind words on our finishes. It means a lot coming from you Jay.
