Jason is the MAN!!
You had great lap times according to the AMA site. I hope the big bike suits. (I bet it will!)
Did Jim soil himself when you went down at 180MPH? ;) Did you??
Seriously, how are you feeling? Any injuries that need further treatment or surgury?
What do you think will happen with the Daytona races other than the 200? Will they change the length of the 600 or 1000 Supersport/ Sportbike classes?
Any chance that you will run the 200?

i don't think they're sure what they're going to do yet.... but whatever it is... i hope it'll make it safe for all the riders... the scariest thing is... could u imagine what it would've been like if that happened in a pack of 10+ riders!!!
my injuries have healed very well... infact... so well that i even rode 2 days ago out in vegas... my biggest problem right now is i have come down with the flu (probably got it on the plane to vegas)
so i high-tailed it home to recuperate in NY... starting to feel a little better... need to start training again soon!!

Hey Jay, how did the new 1000rr look at daytona? I heard it was the fastest bike on the track, top speed was around 10mph quicker and lap times were quicker. Just wondering if you think its going to give the new r1 a run for its money

you have to remember... the honda was a full superbike...
the R1 i was riding was BONE STOCK with only a slip on exhaust...
there was just such little time that full exhaust systems weren't able to be fabed as well as full suspension... we had only re-valved suspension with R6 parts..
once it's all said and done and the motors can be matched and exhausts made... i think those bikes will be a good 15hp stronger... but by no means a superbike...
when the time comes that we DO make a superbike... honda better watch out ;)

Don't you mean the Honda's are full SUPERBIKES? ;) Remember, friends don't let friends ride red. :P

Ouch! Dom, lets not forget how the 600rr did last season, as well as the rest of the red riders. Also, in other 2 wheel fun, Honda has had a strong hold on the world of supercross and motocross for the past decade. It all started with McGrath, and now Carmichael has been kicking some ass on his CR.
Yamaha and Honda I feel are the two major motorcycle companies in the world. The others have their years here and there, but over the long run, Honda and Yamaha are the most consistant.
The new rr, is a superstock bike

I stand corrected.
Jay, were you the fastest superstock bike there that weekend? You were just over a second slower than Bostrom. l
