I just saw that our own subjd40 is in today's (June 29th) Buffalo News. He is on the first page of the sports section, at the bottom. It's a good article except they refer to Moto GP as World Grand Prix.
Good job Jay! :applause:
I saw that article too :)
Think Yates is sippin' a bit of Hatorade, but I might be a bit biased :P
EDIT
LINK TO THE STORY FROM THE BUFFALO NEWS:

"I don't know if he's exactly set the world on fire, if you ask me," said Yates, who leads SuperStock with 190 points. "The one race he won (California Speedway), I fell down. He's not winning every weekend. But he's always someone out there you're trying to beat."

Let's be careful about infringing on the copyright held by the Buffalo News. Links and short quotes from an article are "fair use", but the wholesale copying of an article is not kosher. Rx3, could you please trim the article to a few poignant quotes?
And i totally agree with you on Yates. He is a jerk sometimes.
Jason, trivia question for you: Off the top of your head, how often has Yates crashed out of Superstock? How often have you beat him when he hasn't crashed??

^ all Yamaha race bikes are blue... well for now.
Congrats Jason. Do well next week, I hope one of the Americans (Hayden, Edwards, Hopkins, Roberst Jr) wins in the MotoGP race too!

Edwards and Hayden are the only Yanks with a real shot at winning, IMHO.

Let's hope one of em can pull it off. Maybe Rossi & Gibernau will take each other out & give the home boys a better chance.

Gibby is toast.
Melandri is the one Rossi needs to worry about. The last race was awesome and Melandri pressured Val all the way.

It would be cool if someone from the states won but as for the Rossi and Gib thing? I doubt it.
Congrats to Jason on all his success. :P

Trimmed. I thought that as long as you posted the original link where the story was from (therefore crediting), that it was ok to post the article?

Answer: 0 Yates has more crashes in one season than Jason has ever done in his career.
Jason, I'm impressed. Best of luck in the races and with your career.

If you crash you're beaten. It doesn't matter. Someone else rode better than you and beat you. Except when you crash. Everyone beats you.

But how often has Yates crashed out of Superstock this year?
And I thought that Jason beat Yates quite a few times this year in Superstock.

Hey everyone, I know it's been forever and a minute since I've gotten on here, I've been so busy with racing and testing I wouldn't have time to check my email if it wasn't for my t mobile.
Anyways, I wasn't a huge fan of the article, I knew by the questions the guy asked it was going to be like that too, he pretty much set every question up to be taken out of context, and that's exactly what he did.
It seems like most people local in Buffalo digged it, but I know I've caught a lot of shit from people on the national level since RRW picked it up.
I guess that's just the media though, I was just happy the Buffalo News got their act together and did a story. Allthough I was dissapointed in how they tried to portray how I live.
Alot of you on here know that's not how my life is, I mean sure it has it's moments, but at the end of the day I'm just some kid from stafford that had a little help along the way.
Anyways, at least they're saying something... even if it is sensationalism at its best!
:)

As for the Laguna Seca Moto GP race Nicky has been riding extremely well for Repsol but just doesn't seem to have enough @ the end of the races. Edwards raced a very strong race @ Assen finishing 3rd, but he still wasn't ever close enough to make an impact. As for Hopkins & Roberts Jr. they haven't even come close in a few yrs let alone come back to the states and beat the Likes of Rossi, Gibbenue, or Malandri. Maladin needs to take the plunge and go GP also, the way he beats the hell outa everyone on the SB circuit would be great to see if he can match up with Rossi . GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yamaha
