As you have seen, we are continuing the process of upgrading and revamping our home here at Sportriders.org. The SR staff is continuing to make improvements to make our site fresh and user friendly.
We've unveiled a slew of new features that I will touch on in some more detail below.
First off, our new site skin has been made. We changed up the color scheme slightly to make it more pleasing while maintaining the familiar SR.org feel. We will soon turn our attention to prepping our mobile skin for release, an alternate skin (different colors than default), as well as some enhancements to the front page, logo, and graphics. After these are complete, then we will be able to handle stickers, T-shirts, and other swag (no we haven't forgotten about the stickers ;) ).

We have a screaming new web server, and we will begin to support some extras that people have wanted now that we have the speed and bandwidth to do so.
In addition to the new look, there are some new features that our members will have access to. Please read the FAQ (http://www.sportriders.org/forums/faq.php) for instructions on how to manipulate all the new features! Some of the more notable include:
New Enhanced User Profiles
Our new upgrades to the board have brought enhanced user profiles. These profiles are more robust than the old ones, and you can now use your profile here at SR.org as your homepage! You can add a friends list, edit your info displayed, post links, and much more. For our tiered donors (http://www.sportriders.org/forums/showpost.php?p=136871&postcount=1) Silver and up, your profile is completely customizable, including color, fonts, background photos, So get your creative juices flowing, and customize your profile to better represent YOU! We will be adding new features that may be of interest to our users. So if there is something you would like to see, let us know by posting in the feedback thread. If it is possible, and people want it, we will add it!

Visitor Messaging System
Finally, you will no longer need to start a thread that says "Paging ___________!!!! " Just click on that persons profile, and leave him/her a note right there! You can even use it as a quasi- in-forum IM/Chat system! NOTE: VISITOR MESSAGES ARE VIEWABLE BY THE PUBLIC.
Improved Classifieds and Tech section
We've added the ability to use thread prefixes in our Classifieds and Tech section. No longer will you have to read every thread to figure out what type of classified you are looking for. IT will all be evident with a quick glance!
In our tech section, we have also added prefixes for make/manufacturer! Using these prefixes will help others who are familiar with a certain make/model to find your tech threads and provide you with help and insight. You will also be able to search by manufacturer when researching tech for a specific brand! Please begin using the prefixes when posting in Tech or Classifieds.
Improved Search Functions
We've added the ability for users to "tag" their threads and posts with keywords to make them easier to search for later. This will enhance your searching capabilities immensely. You can also search using thread prefixes as well!
Improved Arcade
We've expanded our arcade (http://www.sportriders.org/forums/arcade.php?&act=Arcade), and we'll be adding more games to ensure that you are wasting valuable time at work! (just kidding :) ) The arcade is a special feature availabe to all donors as a special thanks from Sportriders. Come on in, waste some time, and help us DETHRONE G-Flo as King of the Arcade! :p
Photo Gallery
We've finally brought back our new and improved photo gallery! now you will have a place to upload and categorize photos for all of your group rides, trackdays, and other get togethers with your fellow Sportriders! Photos can be easily linked into threads, and all users can view existing photo albums and also leave comments on photos! Also, the Sportriders.org front page, (http://www.sportriders.org) will randomly pull images from our users gallery for display and feature on the front page. So start uploading your photos today!
For tiered donors (http://www.sportriders.org/forums/showpost.php?p=136871&postcount=1) Bronze and up, you will have significantly increased album capacity (number of total pictures) and picture size allowed.

User Definied Custom Titles
Just something for you to have fun with, we've allowed for you to make your own custom titles! Enhance your avatar, or make fun of Doyle! Almost anything (within reason) goes!
Email Accounts
For our Platinum Donors, we will provide (if requested) an email account! username@sportriders.org ! Now you will have an easy way to coordinate all of your sportriding activity, be it trackday confirmations, online purchases, emails with other riders, etc. in one place free of spam and clutter!
We will be looking into adding more features and functionality, and we'd love to hear your input.
